Our faculty, which applies the integrated education model in the first three semesters of medical education, which is a dynamic process, has adopted the principle of preparing our students for medicine with multidisciplinary practices in addition to basic education from the first days.
The "integrated sessions" and "case presentations" implemented in our integrated education system, which has been implemented since the 2016-2017 academic year, are important practices that enable the linking of basic medical knowledge with clinical practices in the system-based education model.
Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which is an effective model of modern education, II. and III. It aims to enable students to associate the basic knowledge they have actively acquired with diseases.
In the Term III program, "workshops" with experts from different disciplines take place as an interactive learning model in which students are enabled to actively participate in the discussion.
In addition to intensive clinical courses, clinical trainings are given in our university hospitals during the internships applied in the 4th and 5th grades, which are the clinical period. Students in clinical internships have the chance to receive one-on-one training from experienced faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine.
Apart from the medical education program, scientific meetings are held three days a week at Demiroğlu Bilim University Faculty of Medicine. These scientific meetings consist of lectures given by faculty members, case discussions and case studies presented by students. Thanks to these scientific meetings, it is possible to discuss the most up-to-date information by faculty members and students.
